Tejus Centering offers precision-engineered aluminum slab panels (1800 x 900 mm) tested for structural deflection performance under varying slab concrete thicknesses. Based on structural engineering assessments, the panel system shows safe usage for slab thicknesses up to 450 mm.

Deflection values were measured for both the 1.8 m and 0.9 m spans. For 1.8 m length, deflections ranged from 1.84 mm (200 mm slab) to 4.14 mm (450 mm slab), staying within safe limits (L/325 standard). For the shorter 0.9 m member, deflection was minimal, between 0.14 mm to 0.32 mm—representing less than 12% of the allowable limit.

This performance confirms Tejus’ aluminum formwork panels are safe, reliable, and reusable for concrete slab construction up to 450 mm thick. The deflection calculations provided above are specific to the primary members of Tejus aluminum slab panels (1800 mm x 900 mm). Based on the test data and allowable limits (L/325), concrete slabs up to 450 mm thick can be safely poured using our Alu Panel system.

However, it is critical to ensure that the supporting system below—including props, beams, and staging—is designed according to the slab thickness and the height of the floor. Proper shoring and staging must be in place to maintain structural integrity and safety during casting.
